PayPal Express Instructions

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS & USER GUIDE:

Be sure to ALWAYS backup your database and store files before installing ANY extension.

SPECIAL NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE A PROPERLY INSTALLED AND FUNCTIONING SSL CERTIFICATE OR THIS EXTENSION WILL NOT WORK. THIS IS A PAYPAL REQUIREMENT. PAYPAL EXPRESS EXTENSION CANNOT BE USED IN THE TEST FORM UNLESS YOU HAVE A DEVELOPERS TEST ACCOUNT. NOT HAVING THE CORRECT ACCOUNT DETAILS WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO BE REDIRECTED TO THE PAYPAL WEBSITE FOR PAYMENT PROCESSING. MAKE SURE YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT DETAILS ARE CORRECT.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

PLEASE BACKUP YOUR STORE & MySQL FILES BEFORE PROCEEDING!

1. Upload entire contents (the files inside) of upload folder to your stores root directory.

2. Set permissions. Go to System>Users>User Groups>Top Administrator>Edit Select all in both boxes then save setting.

3. Pament Gateway settings. Go to Extensions>Payments>PayPal Express Checkout and make appropriate settings.

Special Note: With regards to the shipping issues, it is usually a settings issue in the admin or the shipping module you are using (if you are using one?) is sending the wrong data to PayPal. When using pp express the shipping information/charge will not show on the paypal side. After the customer agrees to the sale and they get redirected back to the store before finalizing the sale they will see the shipping charge added to the total.

HOW TO ADD PAYPAL BUTTONS TO STORE FRONT

In admin go to Extensions>Modules>PayPal Express Checkout button Install the module then follow the standard OpenCart add module to store front process.
